After being eliminated from One in a Million, i still happen to have some chance to entertain...lucky me.. i'm not a One in a Million reject after all.. ;) i kinda like this picture... i look really good in it.. i mean of course i look fat coz i am.. but the picture actually potraits me as a musician..and that feels good.. i guess this beats all the other times when i play music wearing short pants.. need to kill that habit and ego.. haha! anyway... i played for this function for my uni and i sang a couple of songs... heard myself in the DVD after and i sounded horrible... reminds me something..next time i go on stage..make sure its after a few drinks of whisky or beer..nothing less, coz else my vocals would be YUCKS!

Well, its that time of year again when the MUSIC gets wild and the ppl strive to prove their talent.. yes, i'm talking about the 2006 JAIRUS ANTHONY Music Festival, A.K.A JAMFEST which is organized yearly at the one and only BACKYARD pub, Sri Hartamas. =) Year after year, this music festival features popular musicians like Paul Ponnudorai, Gerard Singh, Raymond Chia, Sherman Tan, Pete Teo, Rafique Rashid, Fasy, Julian Mokhtar, Vijay David, Albert Sirimal, Badar, Collin Jansen, Vishnu, and many many more. The JAMFest, dedicated to Jairus Anthony, a pub musician who passed away with cancer a couple of years ago. His main journey in music was to see pub musician given the opportunity to get exposure and show their music skills to others, sort of what i would call a show when Eric Clapton does a guitar festival and invite newbies to showcase their talent. Backyard has yet to line up their performers, but nevertheless, it would definitely be a killer event. Let's hope i get to jam with the boys on the last day... Mrs. Shermaine Chitty, well i guess i got to get used to that since i've decided to devote the remaining years of my life to love her...haha! aint that cute..i wonder how would i look like in traditional chinese costume..must be scary... anyway, life's been about me and shermaine this past month.. been spending most of my time with my beloved.. coz when i don't spend time with her, i feel my day's incomplete.. :) Had a barbecue party in her place last saturday with her family and her high school friends. Pretty crazy bunch of them.. i guess they have got their history together which makes chatting fun.. for me..it was barbqueing as usual..my favourite pasttime... the gods must has been testing me with the rain and all, but i guess all my sweat in the rain must have paid off...it stopped raining eventually..i was soaked..but for a good cause.. :) my baby was happy...coz she's always wanted me to meet her friends..and i eventually did.. i'm happy coz my in laws to be were happy that night :) u know, she's got one heck of a family..witty and fun.. :) mine is also of course.. but i'm glad they make me feel at home.. feel like family.. :) Well, that's what's been happening in my life lately.. then of course there is the laziness of not playing my guitar for some time..but i'll get into that in a couple of days.. now that i've installed hello on my computer again! cheers mate!

A rich businessman had a beautiful daughter, who fell in love with a guy who was a cleaner. When the girl's father came to know about their love,he did not like it at all, and so began to protest about it. Now it happened that the two lovers decided to leave their homes for a happy future. It was only after sometimes that she recovered from her shocked. The funeral and cremation was the very next day because he had died horribly.Two nights later, the girl's mother had a dream in which she saw an old lady. The old lady asked her mother to wash the blood stains of the guy from her daughter's dress as soon as possible. But her mother ignored the dream. The next night her father had the same dream, he also ignored it. Then when the girl had the same dream the next night, she woke up in fear and told her mother about the dream. Her mother asked her to wash the clothes which have blood stains immediately. She washed the stains but some remained. Next night she again had the same dream she again washed the stains but some still remained. Next night she again had the same dream and this time the old lady gave her a last warning to wash the blood stain, or else something terrible will happen. This time the girl tried her best to wash the stains, and the clothes nearly tore, but some stains still remained.She was very tired. In the late evening the same day while she was alone at home, someone knocked the door. When she opened the door she saw the same old lady of her dream standing at her door. She got very scared and fainted.The old lady woke her up... and gave her a blue object, which shocked the girl. She asked "What is this...?" The old lady replied... "Try DYNAMO Liquid Soap... just a dab and it will remove all stubborn stains!!!" . WHAT A JOKE!

Hot Asian Cowboy in Singapore... well there i was, who would have thought, an Asian Cowboy in the heart of Singapore...during its independence celebration, attending a Country and Western Open Air Concert in the Esplenade.. As i was sitting there that night, enjoying the good music of Big Game and Paul Ponnudorai, 2 things hit me bad time.. 1 was my journey into the music scene.. suddenly it made me feel down..where was i? what was i doing? i've recently bought a drum machine wanting to practice my music! but what have i done? NOTHING! its still well kept in its bloody box....i've not been practicing...how do i expect to improve... Then came the hearts feeling... made me miss Shermaine Koh Yin Ling AKA Shermaine Koh Chitty... the past weeks with my lou por has been a journey i never imagined would have been true! but it is! i still pinch myself to see if its real! and it is! and for once in my life... im experiencing LOVE like it should be experienced... who should i thank? Aunty Elaine & uncle Jason of course...for their remarkable daughter.. she's really made for me...heheh! my perfect other half..well almost perfect of course... but spending my lifetime with her is my new resolution! gonna be hard to make that dream come true if i continue buying gadgets..but haha! hopefully i'll manage..loosing her would mean loosing direction in this would and i sure dont want that to happen! love u my chicken rice queen! hahahaha mwakz.. And there i am holding on to my baby as though im caging her for the rest of her life... its not that i cant let go.. but i dont want to... lovey dovey u can say about me.. but hey, i choose to be like that... she's my wife u know! anyway, our journey has set out to a whole new chapter.. our love is getting deeper by the days... although we do run out of things to talk about sometimes coz we talk DAMM a lot on the phone..but we still cannot resist calling each other everyday! miz her as we speak! but hey..aint that all love is about? nothing wrong missing my baby right? BIG GAME, the name you shout out loud when you talk about country and western music in the malaysian scene... Well, That's Gerard Singh, Sherman Tan and Raymond Chia. Significantly, BIG GAME is a word animal hunters use for the more challenging hunts.. to hunt down the impossible animals.. and thats what BIG GAME means.. they are major ppl in the industry..especially if you are talking about country and western... noone i've seen can be as organic as this lot... Well, the picture up was taken in Harry's Bar at the esplenade...taken right after a country and western gig BIG GAME had featuring Paul Ponnudorai, the all time Malaysian Maestro for guitars.... It was a short weekend in Singapore for me...too short to actually enjoy the scenes... Raymond was sick d whole time...poor thing...nevertheless, his wandering around got him some good times... With us in the picture, is of course our little petite Mrs. Anne Ponnudorai... sweetest thing u can find in Singapore... gretest of friends... Now, the Singapore music scene is a little different to the Malaysian music scene..ppl there actually understand what you are doing...and Paul is like another Maestro there... of course deserving every respect he gets as he use to practice till 8 hours a day...we cant deny him his achievements today! Well, that's Big Game... www.biggameproductions.com is on its way... considering recording with a smaller company. Consider these guys..as their mix is pretty good and they know their sound... and most importantly, they're the friendliest lot...of coz untill u tell them to play another song or get out of ur pub..then it becomes an issue.... i mean, look at these guys...u probably dont wanna step on their tail!

Not sure about cover charges & all, but fun is sure to be excruatiating fun... Im off Tonight with the boys after their gig... shooting off to Singapore probably in Sherman's car which they are gonna drive at 150 KM/hour..hhaaha my baby is so gonna freak out when she reads this...but hey, they've been safe drivers for as long as i know them! so i guess its gonna be alright! its a big car anyway! GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS.... there are many different intepretations to that line.. many thinks its the miracles that god makes happens, some thinks its the gift that god gives.. but i have always believed, that everything happens for a reason... and lately, the reason has came clear to me... When i was born, god destined me to be a forgetfull person..i always lose things... i've lost a guess watch by just leaving it on a table, i've lost a guitar by leaving it in school, ive lost at least 3 handphones by just leaving them around and many many more stuffs..always cant remember where i put my things... god also made me a forgetter,,i alwiz forget stuffs.. probably cant remember writing this tomorrow.. always forget all the stuffs i said..so must always write down... god made me a joker.. always laughing and making jokes... god made me a nice guy... only to find that nice guys finish last... BUT, 2 years after i was born, GOD completed me by creating a being that is to complete me.. a person that helps me remember my stuffs.. such good memory...favourite subject is BIO summore.. subject that i sucked in.... god made someone that would love me for who i am since i dont think i can change myself much.. god made someone who could care for me and tell me how much she loves me everyday, words that makes me happy when im sad... and to finish it with style, i think god was afraid that i might not meet her...so he made a special note in his book of love... he made her birth on the exact sameday as me exactly 2 years apart... and YES, after 23 long years, i've found my destiny..sounds corny right? but its pretty true..and for the first time, im not ashame to say it.. i', in LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! crazy LOVE and so, that is the story of my life that will go down memory lane not matter what happens to "us".. love u baby!

Well, did not blog much about Yemen.. was there for like almost 2 weeks...torture... haha! till i went to the only bar in town and got myself a heineken... probably the only place u get to have a heineken in the whole of Yemen.. must have connections! haha :) anyway, as much as i dont like philipino bands, met this group that were nice ppl. Zarvee, Natalie, Daniel, Ruby...bunch of nice ppl! jammed with them a couple of songs..and later on played in a tourism malaysia function with them..met a lot of big shots there and made pretty good connections..maybe i should go to Yemen again soon! pretty nice place...boring though :)

This one's gonna be an interesting blog.. Prashan Chiity... who would ever think he would actually end up finding d one person he really cares for... besides his family that is.. Well, its oficially true.. I'm in love... You know, i'd have to admit, i've never cried at d end of any relatonships i had.. well maybe once...coz it ended in favour of my fault..so i did feel bad about it...but my experience now with me baby is some sort of a totally new experience for me..one i think is worth writing about... Today is gonna be a slight gloomy day for me.. as i know that when i stepped into work today, i'd probably not see her as she will not be aroud for 4 long days.. yeah i know..sounds like torture isn't it.. but i guess its a test of endurace for me n her.... well.. yesterday when she departed from my arms for home, it just took me half an hour before i realised i miss her so much that i had to call her and tell her.... it felt as though she was on the next flight to Chicago and i had to tell her i miz her... hahaa.. pretty new experience for me..but it was fun..sort of an adreneline rush or something... But all is great... who knows, this might b d girl i wanna spend d rest of my life with.. but its all still to early to say..many more obstacle for me to overcome! can our feelings blossom from this point forth? So Cindy.... noted as OIAM Cindy on my phone.. was quite an interesting characther.. still cant believe a 18 year old rolls her own cigarattes... STOP SMOKIN gurl... she's a characther in OIAM i'd like to comment about... one day during the competition i was jamming wit Joshua down by the garden of FOod Street in the Curve..and she came along..just after her date with her bf i think...and sat with us.. we did some RnB style versions of Before you accuse me and Ain't no Sunshine... then Cindy came in and did some Soul back up! man did she have the vocals like aretha does.. she's really good i thought... then she did it again and again and again till it spoilt the song! :( hmmmm... i think that in the near future..she'll be a really good singer..her vocals are FANTASTIC! no doubt about that.. hmmm wanted to go up to the other girl, suki i think her name is to introduce myself.. but i chickened out..she's really sweet..wish i had.. but hey..regrets are merely words! I still think i could have made it through that guys elimination stage.. but hey...life goes oN! back to playing some funk in pubs..haha! going for a Country N western gig in August in Singapore... being the Rody for my fwen.. hope the response is good! always wanted to be in that kind of EAGLES concert environment!

Shafinaz? Well she's the doll in the whole competition.. She takes her music very seriously.. she can really differentiate singers from musicians..haha some of us are just not born singers.. but we can still sing right? haha still cant believe Paul called me a basker...though it was not shown on TV, but Mungkin Nanti may not just be a sad song right? maybe he was happy when he was singing it.. ever tot of that? i kinda think Peter Pan is singing without feelings..so anyone can add any emptions to that song... Back to shafinaz.. u think she looks dammm pretty right? i kinda think she looks very thin...i happen to think that all the lady celebrities are very thin and they maintain such a bodyline to look good on TV.. it does give you a few extra pounds.. Paul Moss, AKA Mean Machine... lyn's shouting at me everyday to blog about him...so here goes.. Well.. i see Paul as an ACTUAL nice guy! he's just mean coz he gets paid to be mean... Simon Cowell is mean coz he's mean.. but Paul's Mean coz he gets paid good money to be like Simon. I dont quite agree in everything he says all the time.. at times he says weird things..but hey, that's reality TV right? haha :) but if you guys think that Paul Moss is mean on TV, wait till you guys get behind the scenes..he's more than just mean, he's SUPERMeAN!... he'd not give u a chance at anything.. go ahead and give him a chance to show his talent in front of Reality TV..and Paul will make full use of it.. poor ppl sometimes.. sad....very the kesian some of the contestants who gave him CACI sooooooooo much! Paul, you should learn how to use more sarcastic ways instead of harsh mean words like idiot and stupid.. learn from Simon! ;)

You see, i joined this competition called One in a Million organized by 8tv.. not realising that it is NOT a replacement of Malaysian Idol, i joined and i qualified to the next round.. Went for Round 2 and i got KICKED OUT! man... but it was fun..meeting new friends and all..they are so the happening... As a music lover, there is nowhere else to be like a place that when you hum a song, everyone follows in with harmony... hahaha! cant beat that can you.. it was an experience.... a good one too... Too competitive.. all 89 of us who qulified for the second round out of the 4000 auditioners are good singers... fantastic! met ppl like Farrah from MI2 (could not convince her to give me her phone number), Dayang something...recording artist... Phyne Ballerz...the ppl who sang Vida in Malay...really really good singers... and also ppl like Cindy who blew me away.. Joshua who has such suttle vocals.. Ozy who was a killer... Sonia, so jazzy... Blues man Russel.. Sweet Mable and of course Patrick the hi hi ha ha guy! all fantastic musicians.. hope i will meet them soon! i hope these guys will send me some pictures so that i can blog about them...give me a few days and i shall be back to blog about Paul Morse... dont u guys wanna know what he is like behind the scenes...haha!

Music Festival in Melaka? Now who would ever know that it would have gone on so smoothly... For tose who dont know who we are, im the one with the cowboy hat, Prashan... The one on the far left with the thumbs up is Allan Murillan, Bamboo Hut's Resident Musician, behind him, weighing very LIGHT, is Sherman Tan, my brother in crime, and next ti him is the tallest guy in the music scenes, Gerard Singh, nominated for 2 awards in the AIM awards....The guy in blue hawaian style shirt is my evil twin brother, Raymond Chia, the man born with Muar's finest fingers on the keyboards and last but not least, Mr. Ringo Wang, Melaka's Veteran musician on the far rigjt. Although the festival did not draw a million people, it certainly drew almost all the music lovers in melaka. The night went well with some other local talents joining in to JAM. Sure enough, the silence of Melaka on Sunday Nights are broken by the sounds of our music. If Melaka loves us, we would be sure to do it again..... Thank you to all those who made it there that day. Jovin Turns 22? the world must be crazy to let this small kid grow up! and growing up prodigally, man... he had to do a bash in Luna Bar... (expensive place) and i think all in, everyone spend almost 1500 there.. dont make sense for a birthday party for 15 ppl.... So, i decided to feed him a cake.. ahha! jovin, the only guy in town that follows me around to listen to my live band craze.... anyway, met some nice ppl there that night... young n exciting penny was sweet n lovely.. yen yen was sweet, innocent but turned daring after a few drinks... and of course the rest i almost know since ages ago ler...! Jovin did enjoy himself....oh yeah...a little about Luna Bar.... its on Pan Global Towers on the 34th Floow... and its open air...so u get to see the KL City lights... On one side, u can see KLCC and on the other the KL Tower.. Beautiful sight.. house music for relaxation.. no stress place.. a little expensive... cover charge after 9.30 PM. Nice place to hold a function if budget is not a problem... u ppl whould check it out!

So this was where iw was during New YearS? yeah.. that's the same old 3 amigos shouting our lungs out in Ringo's Classic Cafe in Melaka, one of the few places u can find good music in melaka.... It was crazy... the crowd was so big that noone could get chairs and tables.. i had to go to Jason's house to borrow some chairs coz our crowd was too big for our reserved table... Sadly, we did not win any lucky draw this year.. last year we won like 5-6 prizes.. unlucky huh? this year chinese new year better not gamble..! Cheers mates...

Well, double take attempted the biggest jazz concert by a Jazz Duo ever tried by Malaysians last week.. whats more to say about them... their Christmas albim, probably amongst the top christmas albums this year.. other i would recommend is leaonard Tan's Christmas Album.. both fantastic musicians, and Leonard + personality and looks.. whats more to be said? haha! Mia and roger recorded this album like pure acoustics do it... sort of like Tuck and Patti material... i have to admit, this duo had always played like the books, sounding like what the originals do, mia would do the exact vocals as patti would do and roger would do the same licks as tuck does in his songs... now where does that bring them? But.. musicians evolve as time passes.. and mia has done tremendously well in this Christmas album.. very very MIA for once i say..and Roger attempted mixture of great guitarist licks.. definitely a recommended album.. I would watch out for this duo in the future.. they might be the bridge to bringing up the local music scene.. and i back them up all the way! cheers double take!

No Black Tie.. newest pub concept in town. Pricey, but quality sound and quality environment. A room with less than 1/4 people smoking.. theatre like stage, and wood base walls. Fantastico! That was where i was last night. Apart for being charged RM 20 for cover, i guess the rest was ok. It was for support of local musicians anyway. Line up was called Acoustic night featuring Endorsed Malaysian Godin Players Albert Sirimal, Richard Lim, & Gerard Singh, as well as Viji on his Takamine and Julian Mokhtar with his handmade steel guitar. Now what more can one ask for then a session like this? fully acoustic.. no drum machines, no drums, no programming, just the player and his instrument. All musicians covered originals and covers... Fantastic mood! Again, No Black Tie has started off with a concept where musicians can plan their gigs there, charge cover, and profit share with the pub. How fantastic right. The turnout yesterday was pretty fine, pretty much everyone enjoyed. Fantastic....hope that there will be a session like this again. oh btw, Mia Palencia and Roger are planning the biggest Jazz concert ever planned by a Jazz duo and they are planning to get into the Malaysian Book of Records. Its a concert not too miss. Malaysia never fail to suprise people with the biggest stories ever..?? Here's the latest.. STRIP search...right in the Malaysian Police Jail... so what do you guys think? madness? or stupidity? whichever, is it necessary? Anyway, i kinda think that this kind of incident only beshames our nation. At the end of the day, people will have less respect for the police force...not get more afraid of them. Instead, once somebody comes voicing out a retaliation against the force, others will stand up and come against them. At the end of the day, the goverment has to do something.. but what? Well, as i know, the government is recruiting bachelor degree holders into ASP's posts.... i believe this is a good move as it will increase the brains in the force.. at least these ASP's can help plan stuff and prevent incidents of such from happening.. My question is? will the government be able to crush corruption? as if there was still corruption, these graduate ASP's will not make a difference. They probably have to lower their heads to the superiors at the end of the day! hierarchy of power u know? Anyway, i think the BPR should disguise themselves as plain clothes officers and nab the police red handed whilst planning to take corruption. Then there will be no place to run and no place to run. Non-th-less, my views normally stays within this window... But it would be good to have a change dont u think? As much as i do not like the law and order in Singapore, at least they are clean and you do not mess with the authorities. At least people are well protected and there is no abuse of power. I mean at least thats what i think.... anyway, have to get back to work! The Alvarez FD 60S, Thin Cut-Away Electric Acoustic with Solid Spruce Top and Mahagony sides. This was what i bought about a month back for RM 2100. Yeah thats why i am so broke now. Anyway payed installment, So now every month for the next 1 year i WILL be BROKE! haha! :) Anyway, had a pretty rough weekend.. witnessed EXORCISM for the first time and it freaked me out. Tired from work as usual and hanging out with the boys has been late nights as usual too. Something caught my attention a couple of days back, a car sticker with the words "Hidup UMNO, Hidup Melayu".. this reminds me of an article i read in the STAR papers couple of months back. A reader wrote, A China Resident would call himself a Chinese, a Resident from India would call himself an Indian, so what should Malaysian Chinese and Indians call themselves? What race are you? most would answer i am Chinese or Indian or Malay. The question is, why should we not call ourselves Malaysians? Aren't we a harmonious country where every religion lives in peace? Well, a Vietnamese chinese would call themselves Vietnamese and a Canadian Chinese would call themselves Canadian. I think the dilemma most of us non Muslim Malaysians are looking for is what "The American Dream" was all about. About eliminating the indifferences between religions and leaving in Harmony. I've got a question in particular, what kind of procedures does a Malaysian Muslim have to go through should they want to change their religion? I do believe the constitution allows the free will of religion right? or not? Well, I do hope one day Chinese and Indian and Malays can mix around and have mix mariages in the future, without parents having to object due to the fact that Non-Muslims have to convert to Muslims to marry another Muslim, and shunt their family away. I really do feel we can end up in harmony, but the question is When? Hai...yet to be resolved. So How's everyone lately? not many ppl have been reading my blog lately. Well, its funny how little things makes a difference in your life, like how a simple hi can brighthen up one's day, or a " i love you " in the morning would make a person feel happier, or even if the phone beeps with a message that says i miss you from a person you miss too from far away... Life's not always what we expect it to be, but we never tend to appreciate the good things in life, we only complaint about the bad. So how does that help us? The songs brings a great impact on us remembering how simple hi's or good morning can mean to a person. Well, its always good to know someone cares or someone remembers. Thats what's important. So, if ur thinking about someone right now, message a simple HI to them k? Anyway, just to share a picture of an idol, mentor and friend with u guys, master Ponnudorai of Malaysia. As you all know he's been a great influence to my music. Paul always says, when someone compliments you, always say thank you and not "nolah just cari makan" coz when you are complimented, you must always appreciate it, coz someone is sharing their appreciation to you. She's something you should look out for in this year's Jairus Anthony Music Festival in Backyard pub which kicks of tonight. Was suppose to get a slot there but Jerry has quiet down so i guess it means the slot aint gonna be there. I guess my music is just different from the concept they are potraying this year but i'll keep my chins up! i'd probably get somewhere else to play. Attention Franciscans! Well, who would have guessed, the school i went to was in Melaka and now we have established a club in Kuala Lumpur. Thats why they say once a Franciscan, always a Franciscan. FCKL will be organizing a fund raising dinner in commemoration of SFI being 125 years old and also the inauguration of the club. Any die hard Franciscans reading my blog? if yes, log on to www.thefranciscan.org membership to the site and club is for Franciscans only. I'll be going for the dinner. Ticket is charged at RM 125. I've booked a table and still my table is empty...this sounds crazy but when i booked the table, i practically committed myself to RM 1250 for the table. Anne reminded me to put on my blog that there were at least 2 decent girls with me on the night in Sugar Club.. haha! of course she's one of them! hahhahaha! things have been going quite OK with me lately..at least there's not too much to complain about.. nothing much to boast about as well.. hmmm probably be hanging out in Fandangos with Sab and N tomorrow night...oh yah ken will be there too.. anyone else care to join us for a couple of drinks? Dear Readers, sorry i've been away for the past god knows how long. There's been much on my mind.. anyway, just like to share with u ppl what happened last Friday.. something really messed up happened.. Friday Night, i had free invites to Sugar Club in Crown Plaza Hotel Jalan Sultan Ismail coz Michelle was singing and so me and Raymond went there to support her. My god, judging from god knows how long i have not been clubbing, the experience was terrible. I dont deny that there were like many Pretty and sexy girls there that night, girls that turn you on instantly, but the environment was really really bad.. So Mr. Prashan Chitty, i guess the reason u dont date chicks out is coz u dont go to the right places. Anyway, i will never go clubbing again unless its an invite, thats for sure. The ciggie smell was strong, there was ppl everywhere banging u in every corner you walk, you had to self serve for beers. Oh My god! this was madness. i really feel strange going to these places. The kids there were really really young... i guess it gave me a totally different picture on all the other decent nice girls i know. What ever happened to the Malaysian culture? i guess i am outdated.. feel really old right now.. i dont have much new pictures to share with u guys so i guess u got to wait till i do have some new pictures. Finished CSI season 2...got to go Low Yat and buy season 3 pretty soon! cheers ppl! keep up all the good things in life.. say no to ciggie! since the price is damm high now, give urself a reason to quit. Well, weekend well spent... Picture was taken in Ringos.. with my college mates.. during a trip i organized for my students to Melaka. Darn tiring weekend. However, nothing substitutes the crowd i had playing in Ringos on Saturday night. The crowd was mad, the people were out to kill, and they enjoyed my music. Now, thats just what a musician wants. No words can describe whats been going on this couple of days.. well, it all started on friday... it was Mr. Gilbert's birthday...Mr. Gilbert is my superior officer... We had much to drink that night... i was on a drinking spree....thank god i had Dr. on my mind, so i did controlled.. i bet Dr. would not like d idea of me over drinking. :) but still, weird things happened. There was a bunch of women who were there that night. They were trying to get onto us... yucks! i think this women are deprived of attention. They freakingly invited me and Rodney, the guy in blue, my colleague to come for another session on saturday. They told us there was gonna be a lot of wild woman and that we would enjoy ourselves. I wonder what that implicated. Anyway, friday passed just like that...drinking! the next day was a working day of course. We had exhibition in Corus Hotel Ampang. That morning, i asked Rodney if he was even thinking about going? he kinda said it was under consideration. haha! men will alwiz be men i guess. but when night fell, none of us went...i guess we are nice guys after all. No crave for this kinda madness. I'd rather be home thinking about Dr. rather that enjoying myself out..

I called Ran on saturday night but she was asleep at 11 PM melbourne time. How sad the thought. As usual, i did not wanna deprive her of her beauty sleep, so i just said good night. I thought i would just go to bed as well, but i ended up in BullDog with Victor. God knows how... Gerard Anthony, brother of the late jairus Anthony was having his session in bulldog that night. We again had drinks. Man, Bulldog's beer is sold at RM 8.50 whole night long. I wonder how severe this damages Backyard's business. The night did end in backyard though. Me and Vic and Ger ended up visiting Albert, VJ and Bada after their show... then we continued drinking. I left early as i was working on Sunday at Corus Hotel.

Sunday morning, Corus Hotel it was. Stupid exhibition, no crowd at all. I think the organizers should revemp their marketing strategy and not charge ppl RM 3500 for a booth which noone visits. man! all Colleges there were pretty pissed. Lunch, Raymond picked me up and we went to Ampang Park Mall for food. The supposingly nice food court was closed that day so we ended up having lunch at this shop called cosy place. Man did the food suck... it was raining heavily so Raymnd had to send me back to Corus. Work ended at 5 and therefore i ended up in Raymond's place. Gerard and Sherman was there with Raymond doing some recording.. psst... Gerard's new song One Man sounded really nice...look out for it. Raymond ended up in Low Yat with me coz he wanted to get a new PC. so we went PC shopping till 10.30..man! tired tired! then stayed for supper and helped ray configure his PC till about 1 A.M. Headed home and was back before 2.

Well, i've been working everyday since Friday. If that's not bad enuff, we celebrated Gerard Singh's birthday yesterday night at backyard... my god was it madness. Ray got a bottle and Vic got another. That made it 2 bottles. Damm were we screwed up! had supper in Agros and day ended at about 4 A.M and here i am, 6 hours later, blogging in office. I'm mad...i know! Well, i've been wanting to call ran all week. I really miss her a lot...i guess i shud be calling her pretty soon! i am deprived of talking with her...as shown on my msn nick! its been difficult to talk much with ran coz of the time difference. As i am already working almost everyday till late, when i get home, its almost 9 which means almost 11 in melbourne.. and i cant call her coz its late.. i dont wanna disturb her.. how i wish she could just designate special time for me to call! shucks.. i sound like a cry baby now..but its true, i'd rather be a crybaby and get to talk to her then not being able to talk with her under any circumstances.

Alright, i think i blogged enough for one day.. i still have a slight head ache from yesterday's boozing...Coundown to Merdeka! plans for celebration at bamboo. Any suggessions anyone?

Well, most of you are already aware that the API in KL Is worsening by the days...and worst, its not raining at all! oh my god! whats up with the haze man? UiTM has declared closure for a week. check this picture out, again, something i wanna share with ppl....its called kapo-eta..its a form of brazillian martial arts! its pretty cool...i watched it on tv once..in a movie called only the strong! very very cool form of martial arts! i got to see it live when i was in victoria island in British Columbia during my vancouver trip! pretty fun! it was on the streets! anyway, haze is getting pretty bad today! So, i've not blogged since who knows when! anyway, i am back in actioN! thanks to those who has been loyally asking me to blog again! it kinda makes me feel that i am remembered and there is no more better feeling then that! Let me share with you a picture i took when i was in downtown vancouver. they had this 2 man BAND called CHRUB! i bought the CD, but misplaced it somewhere...there were street performers. Just look at the instruments they play.. i bet Ran would have been thrilled to see them! the music was kinda funky and sounded harmonious...kinda the music u would listen to on a day when u need to clear ur mind! so if i could find the cd somewhere, maybe some of u who needs to release some tension should borrow it from me! Just another day in Vancouver.... took a bus downtown and a sky train to metropolis metrotown mall, a mall quite as big as megamall but has much more to offer.... today i bought a Corona Extra straw Hat and yesterday i bought a jacket to wear for my sister's wedding.. was quite cold downtown as it was raining... tempreature was about 14 C. Bought "The Wall" DVD it walmart...awesome album... Anyway, back to the music scene, S@ffy from Singapore told me by email today that paul launched his album in harry's place in Sinapore Yesterday.. he mentioned that a duo from Malaysia went and jammed...was it you Sherman & Gerard? hmmm should be i guess.... Well s@ffy, if u like Gerard the tall bald guy, he has a Malaysian Records nomination album called "A Slice Of The Pie" i think u can listen to the songs in Musiccanteen.com , if u wanna watch them in Malaysia, u can contact me when ur in town... i'm thinking of paying Paul a visit maybe in a couple of weeks time... interested to bring me around? as i've not been there before. Anyway, if u r reading this Gerard, dont have to call albert regarding the taylor guitar anymore, i already have... he's thinking about selling his big baby taylor..and i might just get it from him..! Ok, si i've not blogged for a week now...so what? i bet u not more than 10 ppl read my blog anyway.... but it was quite coool coz one guy did a google search on paul and found my blog talking about him and read it.. fantastic guy..cheers saffy...u from singapore>? maybe we could go see paul in Singapore one day...i could introduce him to u if u'd like... :) (continued) Well, Kenny from KRM just got back from his megatrend tour...he i still excited at him and is still publishing it.. also told me that he met a cool Japanese guitarist during his tour and might be hooking this guy up to play in singapore and malaysia for a gig..says that his guitaring blew him away...man, kenny is almost next best to paul in malaysia man...if it blows him away, then must sure blow me away la.! hahahah! eager to see... Albert Sirimal is kind enough this week to help me find out the price of the Baby Taylor i've been looking for...fantastic sounding guitar...albert says he might even wanna sell his.....might save myself some money there..! not too bad! well the reason i've not blogged lately coz i was out on an adventure..whole week long...i was on a cruise in north canada and there was no reception at sea... in 4 days i visited nonaimo, victoria, port hardy and prince rupert...dammmmm tiring trip man..! but when i came back i had consolation...listening to someone's voice over the phone did much happiness to me..! haha! i'm being so naughty...she's gonna so kill me..! anyway, i think travelling is gonna be quite slow this week...more outings i suppose...probably gonna watch Miss Saigon again on thursday.. still dont understand the play fully..... i guess thats all for now....watch out in a couple of weeks time... i would have much pictures to post up....

its 7.16 in the morning canadian time on a Monday morning..! time flies..its already the second day here..manage to do some usefull things yesterday, did u know that most stores in canada closes at 5 PM on sunday's? its like they are very particular on rest days...pretty cool! but that meant that there was not much shopping for me...however, that should resume pretty soon! haah! going to check out my guitars either tomorrow or wednesday..korkor simon is finding time to bring mr guitar shopping...nice cousins i have...yesterday evening, i was hyanging out at korkor simon's church...met his gf for d first time...really nice girl...i think simon's gonna be next on line for weddings...hopefully i would have another chance to come visit. haha! well, at church they were doing some gospel songs...reminds me of my salvation army dayz...really fun...! bought myself a new sim pack here yesterday! it was quite important to do so as it was pretty expensive to make international messaging using maxis while roaming...! moreover dont know how to make calls while roaming..quite stupid actually... :) anyway, miz my friends back home...should miz satay celup from somtime....also miz someone from melbourne but that would be quite irrelevant to this blog.. coz that person probable is busy right now..! anyway, dont know my plans for today yet..gonna go upstairs to see if there is breakfast...tata all! more sites to see, www.amazon.ca and www.ebay.ca for computer stuffs, www,futureshop.ca thats if anyone wants me to get anything for them la....ciowz...

it's approximately 10 in the morning here...half an hour ago, i woke up and the first thought that ran my mind was oh shit.! its true...i am in canada...at the moment, temperature is somewhat u find in gentings on a genting rainy day...a lill cold...but managable. i wanted to turn off the air conditioning when i woke this morning but realized that there is none..haha natural air... its nice here.. u dont have to lock ur house doors... its safe... and there are no fences around the houses.. i guess they trust ppl more than we trust our neighbours back home. suppose to go to my cousins house this afternoon....oh ya, we are 16 hours behind malaysian time...did not have jet lagg but still trying to get used to the weather here... first time out of asia for me... my relatives have been really nice...i'm enjoying myself...so hows everyone? post a comment and tell me whats going on at home...or at work? i have not started to take pictures yet...when i do, i will post them up! cheers all! keep in touch! -out-

Well ladies and gentleman, meet Alfred Ho, probably the most influencial blind musician in Malaysia. He had a gig in backyard last Wednesday and i managed to get a glimpse of him and thanks to jerry and julian, i took a photograph with him..u see, my camera was out of batteries, so i had to borrow jerry's.... Well 1st May labour day weekend went on pretty well....tiring though. Spent Friday jamming with Allan in Bamboo Hut Bistro. Just to test my new ZOOM Acoustic Pedal...(NICE SOUND)... then on Saturday did a function at d'Lisbons in Portugese Settlement.. Did not get paid much, but it was a good experience. Did it as a favour to my ex school teacher. Then on Sunday Ringo asked me to replace him at his place coz he was on his way to Redang for a function. Did not go on very well, as my repertoir is still very low... so only managed to impress half the crowd. The others were not bothered about me playing. I realised i did not do as well as i should have..i wonder why? must be too much playing continuously. Well, at least the night ended well as allan from bamboo came to visit and jammed a few songs with me...that caught the crowd's attention..in every way. Allan just increased his repertoir to d 90's...it used to more to 50's to 80's. Fantastic musician...when am i going to be like him? hmmm... anyone dont know that Gerard Singh had 2 nominations for AIM?? check out www.aim.com.my ! i think that would be my next blog topic...Liverpool champions league semi-final match starts in half an hours time...so i better go get dressed in my liverpool jersey... You'll Never Walk Alone! ciowz ppl....oh ya, my parents were up in Singapore and i asked my dad to search for Paul Ponnudorai's album for me... too bad its not in d shelves of major stores yet...i am keeping my fingers crossed that it would be! WORM! imagine, 2 years of being a computer semi expert and i have not had problems with my computers. However, lately, due to my NOTTINESS, i accepted some unknown file in msn messenger from someone who has not messaged me for years! due to my ignorance, i was WORMED. So ppl who use msn, please beware. there is a new worm in town. It is called W32:fatso.A it spreads through email and msn. It is new in the MARKET and norton and symantec has yet to solve it. Thank god Avast Ant Virus has. I managed to clear mine only yesterday after being bugged for 2 days! thanks AVAST! the virus is only about 4 days old and is already rampaging through korea and unites states and now Malaysia as well. It is very difficult to clean! so ppl please beware. Well, for those who don't know these ppl, they are Dan Seals (member of England Dan and Jphn Ford Coley) and Jim Seals(member of Seal and Croft) Two brothers who played in different bands. They recently came for a show in Arena of Stars and i happen to go watch it. They are undoubtfully first class musicians. Dan played a 12 string Martin and Jim played a Taylor cut-away. Very expensive guitars, for ppl like me of course. ALthough they had some difficulty with the sound system, they managed to pull through with some beautiful music. For those who would dont know much about them, you might wanna try listening to I'd really love to see you tonight by England Dan & John Ford Coley and Summer Breeze by Seal and Croft. These are their more particular famous numbers. It was a showcase of talented musicians and although the crowd did not fill the stadium, they performed like profesionnals. If so happen the Seals brothers are reading my blog, i'd like to let them know that i have enjoyed myself in their concert. Just how i wished i could have stayed back to get their autographs.. i heard Marcus brought all his Seals records to be signatured...real lucky fellow! cheers marcus!

However, we did not win as many gifts as we won last year.. bad luck... however, we did win a few gifts...it was sufficient..haha! The Jairus Anthony Music (JAM) Fest came to an end with musicians jamming all night long.! The fest kicked off with Allan Pereira on keyboards followed by 2 young band musicians....how often do you see a 3-piece which consist of 2 female members? one on base and the other on rhythm and vocals..! they did covers on tracy chapman's give me a reason and dixie chicks (cant remember the title) did not get pictures of them but they were good...the day ended with many musicians coming up and jamming on stage.. Well, the best thing about being a musician is when u can go on stage and enjoy ur music, and thats exactly what the musicians did..! it was a pleasure watching ppl go into their music...so it is great to be there... proud to say, i attended the JAMFEST from start to end! thats from the first day till the last....and it was an unforgettable experience...! along this 7 weeks, watching the other musicians play has given me a chance to further compliment my own music..and it has helped me improved...thanks goes out to jerry and justin from the backyard management for organizing such a great festival and of course to julian, the "www.backyardpub.com" administrator for doing such a great job keeping us updated on whats happening! Backyard has turned music into a good course and has shown locals what music is all about, regardless of age..! next year is a definite good wait for! See you ppl in JAM Fest 2005... till then, support the local music industry and dont buy pirated CD's....one last thing, Jaclyn Victor was at backyard on the friday before the finale and i missed it......thats a regret..! but it shows what a great place backyard is...so do go there some time! coz without our money, this musicians cannot progress...haha! so support the pub music industry as well! cheers mates! Viji plays a RM 6,000 Takamine...now thats a high end takamine...the best part is, the guitar is wood based and is has a mini ovation on the back....wood ovation..now how often do you see that? viji does country rock music with fasy on solo guitar....they play thursdays in backyard. If you love music from gordon lightfoot, american, etc, then go watch them! its a so called relaxing experience to watch them play!

SWV, a 3-piece with best selling albums in malaysia plays in Waikiki on thursdays and Bisik on some other day i cant remember which day! if you like music from the saturday night fever, then u'll love them..ridzuan on vocals, centre in picture has a great high voice...he can sing practically anything! and vishnu on the left compliments well with high pitch too and sen sen on the right just grooves the music with his solo acts!

Steve plays for High Wired..another evolutionary 17 year old.. he has been playing drums since he was 10.and last year, he won the best drummer award in the Asian Beat competition...so that makes him the best young drummer in Asia? Steve Jordan's dad Jordan Lewis is the George Benson of Malaysia...i had the chance to sing a song with them and its a great honor! Steve's also going to America to further his music..! why do all the good musicians have to go away>? then who am i going to jam with in the local music scene? damm

Sherman Tan, the baby boy of pubs..! Everybody loves Sherman...he cracks the best jokes and he entertains to the fullest...! used to own a pub called Jam Asia and he use to be in a band with Jaclyn Victor, Malaysian Idol... Greg Lyons, a jazz musician who also teaches In ICOM is the man to watch if you like progressive Jazz... he did a 8 piece jazz performance with Lewis Pragasm on drums I was so stunned by the music sound that day i forgot to take pictures of Lewis..and yes, they are that good! cheers to all 8 members who played in the JAM fest! Gerard Singh was featured on light and easy when he released his album a slice of the pie...which is another recommended CD by Tower Records to buy. His CD features his originals...which comes to a suprise coz u would never expect a malaysian to write such beautiful songs. Fasy is the new talk in town.. He plays a Fender Stratocaster and he really PLAYS if u know what i mean. He performs with VIJI in backyard on thursday nights. They are knowns as the new underrated duo in town. However, Fasy's album cruising is really good and its available in Tower Records KL....dont try to find it in Malacca, i've tried that already! the CD is 29.90 and its satisfaction guaranteed!

Bada, the groovy percussionist! bada plays with Albert and Vijay...they do their sets in Waikiki on Mondays and Backyards on Saturdays..not too sure about other days though! if you love to move your feet to the music and dance, well, they are not too be missed. If you recall, he was a radio 4 dj...back when radio 4 was the killer....and he also hosted his own talkshow on tv3 if i am not mistaken..cant remember what its called but its played solely by him...good comedian as well

Paul is a known musician in Malaysia as well as Singapore. Currently, he plays in a club called harry's in Singapore. However, at the moment he is in a 2 weeks contract in UK doing performances. Whats so special about Paul? well, he was at one stage the 8th Best Guitarist in the world as rated by an American Magazine.. Well, if you love acoustic sounds, then you will love Pete Teo....Pete Teo has been the evolutionary music writer in Malaysia..his album Rustic Living for Urbanites sold well in the international market especially in Asian countries. ALbert is next best to paul in Malaysia to what i believe.. he's a fantastic guitarist and he plays rythm with bass tappings like Paul..classic sounds of GODIN guitars makes him really good! played in the Jairus and Friends CD with Paul and Vijay David!

Selamat Hari Raya and Diwali Nal Valtakel to all my Muslim and Indian friends. Anyone watched the Malaysian Idol Hari Raya special on Sunday, if u did, u might have noticed the drummer in the house band, his name is Lewis Pragasam, he played in backyard with greg lyons a couple of weeks ago, and yes, he's the top percussionist in Asia..kewl eh? so how is everybody? lets see, for anyone who wants to know, Kok Wei's brother is getting married very soon and Katrina is throwing a birthday bash this coming Saturday, 20th Nov 2004. So those who are around do wish her ya? This Wednesday would be the last day for the Jairus Anthony Music Festival, its gonna be jamming session all night long...i quite wonder who would be come and jam? would i get an opportunity to jam with these ppl? hmmm...i wonder..! My friend Allan who plays in Bamboo Hut bought a new guitar lately....he bought a GODIN, a Canadian made guitar that i have been wanting to buy since forever..! he got it for about 5k....dammit....when will i ever afford something like that! kanasai! hmmm...life lately is okler..! spend a lot of time watching my new DVD's....have a final year paper this Saturday...Human Computer Interaction (HCI) ....and i am about to start studying it tomorrow...yeah i know....kinda late preperation! but what to do, thats me! kk has not been in the picture of my life for quite some time now... i have managed to curb myself from calling and messaging her..! thats besides the fact that i still think of her though...it sucks but i guess its just for the good of things...! Ringo celebrates his birthday on Sunday... i dont know how old he is, but i think he's still pretty young! haha! Ringo and Jefferey will be up in Kl this wednesday, they'd probably stay with me...so we will be going to backyard together to see the final day of JAM...! For those who had hanged out with me throughout this weeks of music festival, thank you very much...it has been a pleasure..! most of u guys have ur pictures posted on the backyard website...so go check it out..! remember to give me a call if u guys wanna go there again someday! cool place..! i am listening to Santana now, so its quite difficult to type when ur shaking to music...haha so i guess i'd just stop here for a while! shall blog again after the final day of the JAM Festival....ale everyone..! cheers!

Ladies and gentleman, sorry for the unblogging period...life was quite busy this couple of weeks, hence the no time to blog...so hows everybody? liverpool lost this week....sad man...and man utd is at drawing point as i type here..! let's hope man city scores a goal...haha! this wednesday would be the last day for the Jairus Anthony Music Festival...it will feature Albert Sirimal, Vijay David and Bada....and also Sara Lo, Jason Lo's sister....! kewl huh!...last week, i had the pleasure of having much companion to watch the music festival.not only shen weng and jovin came, but also sabrina and a couple of her friends....really kewl...! it was a nice day, as i got to see as always, good music, featuring my friends gerrard and sherman..! there was this band called live wired...they were awesome too.! pretty kewl! This weekend, Rou San, (runner up Miss Station 3 2004 and Miss Malaysia Cheong Sam 2004) came to Ringos to watch me play...kewl huh! she's really great...i salute her almost adorable personality...! and she also sang at Ringos...beautiful voice to suit her beautiful personality and of course looks....glad to have such a friend....hmm. i wonder if she'd ever come see me play again in d future? so what have u guys been up to? Before i forget, Happy Diwali to my Indian mates and Selamat Menyambut Hari Raya to my Bumiputra mates..! hope this holiday season will take some stress out of u guys brains...hehe!
